Who Do We Have to Thank for Muesli?

We owe the creation of muesli to the Swiss mountain people and scientist Maximilian Bircher-Brenner, who was searching for the recipe for longevity among mountain communities. He discovered that their diet regularly included a mixture of ground wheat grains, berries, honey, and milk.
The oats in muesli bars, rich in vitamins B1 and polysaccharides, have a beneficial effect on the cardiovascular system
and help lower blood cholesterol levels. Interestingly, even calorie-rich nuts are a valuable source of fatty acids, contributing to metabolism and reducing the risk of diabetes. But of course, they should be consumed in moderate amounts and with no allergic reactions.
